Even the most diehard of Family Guy fans will admit that creator Seth McFarlane drew his inspiration from a certain Homer Simpson – that’s fine really, what’s not to love about an overweight buffoon we can all laugh at for our enjoyment?

The problem comes when that buffoon stands a credible chance of becoming the leader of the free world, something that hasn’t escaped the attention of McFarlane.

As the show seeks to drum up support ahead of Emmy voting, which starts on June 13, Peter Griffin suddenly has a rather orange tinge and wispy hairstyle. Take a look for yourselves…

    Here’s Hollywood Reporter:

“As long as we’re voting for dumb loudmouths, can I get an Emmy?,” reads the caption, which accompanies an obligatory “for your consideration” plea in the outstanding animated program category. It’s an Emmy category that Family Guy has never won and hasn’t seen itself as a nominee since 2006.

All fun and games, except Trump supporters managed to lose their rag in spectacular fashion. Huffington Post below:

…boy, are Trump’s fans enraged. They posted hundreds of critical comments on the cartoon’s official Facebook page…

“Years of watching every episode of ‘Family Guy,’ no more,” one commenter wrote.

“[‘Family Guy’ creator Seth MacFarlane] needs to stop trying to shove his political views down our throat [sic],” added another. “It’s idiots like him who are trying their best to destroy this country.”

Some criticized [sic] the show “for hiring more liberal writers” while a few demanded the program be cancelled altogether…

    No chill at all.

Looks like Seth has touched a nerve, which is exactly what he would have wanted. If Trump can win the Republican seat I see no reason Family Guy can’t win an Emmy; then we would really see these Trumpsters losing their shizz.
