Given that countries around the world are rather wary of lone wolf attacks at present, no one wants to find an arms cache buried in their neighbourhood.
That’s exactly what happened in Kleinvlei, a bag with some serious contents discovered in a cemetery.
Here’s News24:
The bag was found buried in Welmoed cemetery on Tuesday night, Lieutenant-Colonel Andre Traut said.
It contained a hunting rifle with a telescope, a silencer, a smoke grenade, stun grenade, seven detonators, three R4 rifle magazines and various rounds of ammunition.
Two blasting caps were wrapped in a Zimbabwean newspaper. Some of the items were known to be used in ATM explosions.
No one had yet been arrested.
We know you Camps Bay folks are a little jumpy about the term ‘arms cache’, but this one is a whole lot more dangerous than what was found on Clifton Beach (HERE).
As you were then, back to your pre-lunch cocktails.
