When Amy Sharp saw her mugshot on social media, after she escaped from a correctional facility, she commented on the post and asked 7 News Sydney to use a more flattering one.
Seriously.
She was being held on account of “property offences” – whatever that means – and escaped just after 3PM on Friday 19 August. Although she was considered a low risk, the New South Wales police put out a bulletin asking for the public’s help, including two pics of the suspect looking not so impressed about the situation, complete with a blanket.

Sharp was then tracked down by police on Saturday evening – a week later – at a park close to the facility, arrested and subsequently charged for escaping lawful custody as well as an outstanding warrant.
