  • Trump And The President Of Mexico Have Taken Their Disagreement To Twitter

Everyone loves a good Twitter spat, but usually it’s just feuding celebs dissing each other while their respective fans wage war.

It’s not often you witness a U.S. presidential candidate bickering with a current sitting president though, so we can mark this one down as something special.

You may know that Trump visited Mexico earlier this week, but he actually began Twitter feuding with a former Mexican president before he had even touched down.

Some background – here’s what Vicente Fix had to say about Trump’s wall back in February:

    Trump’s response:

So what does he do ahead of his visit to Mexico? He tweets this:

Fox’s response pretty much sums it all up:

All this before he has touched down – good stuff Donald.

So let’s talk about his bickering with current Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto then, following the two meeting. Here’s Vox:

After the meeting, Trump said that he and the president did not discuss the question of who would pay for Trump’s proposed wall on the US–Mexican border. Then Trump went to a rally in Phoenix where he delivered a deranged, ranty speech about the evils of immigration and reiterated that Mexico will pay for the wall. Early this morning on Twitter, he again made his point clear.

Awkward, because here comes the response:

    trumpmexictweets3456

This means, basically, “Repeating what I told you in person, Mr. Trump: Mexico will never pay for a wall.”

Anyone else think Trump might struggle to win the Latino vote?

Here’s how I’d like to see this one resolved – a Nacho Libre style wrestling match, Trump dressed in an Orange Menace costume and ready to grapple with his tiny little hands.

In the other corner Enrique, normal sized hands, dressed like the president of a country and behaving like an adult.

Hey, you know you’d watch it.
