If you ever need a reminder of how far the ANC has strayed under the leadership of a certain JZ, simply listen to anything Nelson had to say.
Whether back in 1956 or after his release from prison and rise to presidency in 1994, Tata’s words still carry a sense of reverence.
We’ll deal with what he had to say back in the day here, though, with the Nelson Mandela Foundation releasing what is believed to be Madiba’s first TV interview.
It’s quite brief, a snippet reportedly filmed during a break in the Rivonia Trial where Mandela faced charges of treason:
