It was a year after the couple married – November 2015. They were sitting with Tom Brokaw for an interview, promoting their new film By The Sea, and were obviously deeply in love.
Holding hands, they were joking throughout the interview, and Brokaw called their marriage “the most secure in Hollywood.” Angelina Jolie even suggested the reason the two could work on such a heavy film was because their marriage was so secure:
I’m counting on the audience to know that if it was close to us at all, we never could have made this film. It’s because we’re actually very, very stable, and these aren’t our issues.
