I don’t venture out into the industrial areas of Cape Town all that often, given that both my desire and need to do either are severely limited.
Ask the average town or southern suburb dweller about what it’s like out yonder and you’ll probably hear a mixed bag, but there’s a great deal out that side of the world that’s pretty important to how the city functions.
If you happen to be in the import / export game you probably store your goods in some or other industrial backwater, in what can best be described as a dusty and disorganised dumping ground.
Maybe it’s time you checked out what’s on offer at Berry & Donaldson, the logistics company that handles every aspect of the import and export game.
The best in the business are now moving to brand new, purpose built warehouse facilities in Montague Park, Cape Town.
They’re also pretty proud of the 24-hour, state of the art security system that uses 20 Ultra HD cameras to snuff out anyone up to no good.
Here’s chairman, Rob Berry:
Although we are known widely as Clearing and Forwarding agents, B&D is in fact a full service logistics service provider, with warehousing being a key part of our offering. This fantastic new warehouse will enhance this offering even further and I am very excited about this development.
They’re also pretty happy with the location they’ve locked down, given that it offers huge benefits in optimal route planning and flow of deliveries, due to it being in a position that is largely away from the gridlocked locations of inner Montague Gardens.
The facilities will be up and running on November 1, so if you’re in the market for someone to handle all those pesky freight logistics you might want to start with the industry leaders.
