It’s not exactly a secret that universities around the country are, at present, rather tense.
Of course that’s also true over at Stellies, and has been the case ever since the case for changing Afrikaans as the language of instruction became a national talking point.
With the #FeesMustFall protests again highlighting those tensions, it’s worth remembering that the chant of ‘Kill the Boer’ was deemed hate speech back in 2010.
