Seth has been using Daily Dish for a little over four years now.
If you decide to follow in his footsteps and sign up to the weekly delivery service, you can basically say goodbye to last minute food shopping, where you spend more time wondering what to cook than actually shopping.
You see, once a week Daily Dish delivers everything you need to cook four delicious dinners – including the recipes and exact quantities of all the ingredients.
Dishes are designed to be easy-to-cook, and take about 30 minutes from start to finish. Yay.
One menu type available (there are six) is the Banting Box:
We’ve researched the Banting/Low Carb lifestyle and have done our best to provide dishes that provide 30g carbs or less per plate using ingredients are from the Real Meal Revolution Green and Orange lists. We don’t claim to be nutritionists though – our aim is to provide the best quality ingredients and incredible convenience.
And here’s just one example of the recipes available:
Step 1
Preparation: Preheat the oven to 200°C. Boil the kettle. Prepare all ingredients as indicated above.Step 2
Lime: Slice the lime into quarters and slice these quarters wafer thin. Set aside.Step 3
Turnips & cauliflower: Place a pot on high heat and add the boiling water with a pinch of salt. Add the turnips and boil for about 5 minutes until par-boiled. Drain in a colander, then place on a tin foil lined baking tray with the cauliflower. Drizzle with olive oil, Ras-el-hanout Spice and season with salt and pepper. Roast in the oven for 15 minutes, until golden and softened.Step 4
Salsa: Chop the mint leaves finely. Mix together the mint, tomatoes, onion and coriander. Season with salt and pepper and add a drizzle of olive oil.Step 5
Kebabs: Toss the beef in a little olive oil, salt and pepper and thread onto the skewers. Add a drizzle of olive oil to a pan on medium-high heat. When hot, add the kebabs and pan fry for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until they’re brown all over, but still slightly pink inside. Remove from the pan and set aside.Step 6
Serve the kebabs with salsa, roast turnips and cauliflower florets topped with lime slices.
If banting isn’t your thing, however, there are five other set menus available: Family, Classic, Veggie, Goodie and Pork Free boxes.
Once you have made your decision, four meals for the week are delivered to your door (at work or home) every Monday between 8AM and 5PM.
And the ingredients? They are the highest quality, fresh, seasonal, local, and sustainably produced:
We’re part of the Fairview family – so we get our food directly from the Fairview farm and other local fresh produce and free range farms to ensure that we deliver only the very best produce. Our aim is to provide our customers with ingredients that are highest quality, fresh, seasonal, local, and sustainably produced.
