Stephen Colbert is no stranger to alter egos, given that he he found fame playing a fictional right-wing version of himself on The Colbert Report.
Now that he rocks The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where he plays himself, a liberal leftie, he’s all about taking the mickey out of the mess that is American politics.
