You would think that Oscar Pistorius would be on his best behaviour but apparently not.
According to Times LIVE, the paralympian sustained injuries after getting into a fight with another prisoner, the Department of Correctional Services said on Tuesday:
“It is alleged that he was involved in an altercation with another inmate over the use of a public phone in the special care unit‚ where both offenders are detained at the Atteridgeville Correctional Centre‚” said department spokesman Singabakho Nxumalo.
A public phone? What a stereotypical Hollywood scenario seen in hundreds of movies and series.
Apparently the incident happened last Wednesday, and saw Pistorius taken away for a medical checkup.
The injury? A minor bruise, Nxumalo said:
“As standard operating procedure regarding cases of alleged assaults‚ DCS has launched an internal investigation into the matter to establish the facts and to ensure that appropriate action is taken as incidents of assault are not allowed‚” Nxumalo said.
Nxumalo went on to say that such occurrences were “not rampant in prison”.
Sure, buddy.
