    Art is subjective.

    We don’t want to be nasty to anyone, because maybe we just don’t ‘get it’, but sometimes that ‘artistic licence’ line is taken for a long, long walk.

    I’ll tell you who else doesn’t ‘get it’ – comedian Simmi Areff, who went along to an art exhibition on Wednesday night.

    We know which art exhibition it is, because one of our staff was there too, but let’s skip over that and check out Simmi’s thread on Twitter.

    Here’s how it all starts:

    That would be a sprinkler with the words “solank die gras groen is’ on a shelf above it.

    Our staff member actually kind of liked that one, but let’s carry on with more examples of the art on display.

    To finish, here’s Simmi’s last tweet:

    Nipped in the bud.

    Simmi then added:

    “What if people said your jokes were shit how would you feel?” Answer: They do. More often than not. It use to hurt but I’ve seen people love my work so I’ve realized maybe we all like different cups of tea.

    We’ll just say that the comments on that Twitter thread aren’t exactly complimentary. Here’s one:

    I feel like you got scammed into a tour of an artisanal crackhouse.

    I know, we just don’t ‘get it’, but we are not alone on that front.
