A chap on YouTube called Sun_Chaser has uploaded a video detailing the process step-by-step, and he says it’s a pretty cheap alternative to calling in the pros.

How to dig a borehole / well, using PVC pipes and a simple one way valve. The method works for digging boreholes and wells in sandy areas with relatively shallow water tables shallower than 30m or 100 ft.
