Jennifer Lawrence Launches Into Facebook Rant Following ‘Revealing’ Dress Worn In The Freezing Cold

Braving the cold to look as fly AF, Jennifer Lawrence hit back at those suggesting the starlet was forced into wearing her gorgeous Versace dress.

No doubt that, upon seeing a photograph of Jennifer Lawrence standing next to a group of men laden in winter clothes, the starlet looks a little cold with her thigh-high slit and deep, plunging neck line.

The pics were taken during the London stop of the press tour for Red Sparrow, her latest film, in which she plays a character who is forced to choose life as a spy over death.

Standing next to her bundled-up colleagues, Jen sure does look a little fresh, but that doesn’t mean you have to jump on the bandwagon and conclude she was forced into wearing the dress.

Jezebel couldn’t help themselves, publishing a headline that read “Please Give Jennifer Lawrence a Dang Coat”.

On the most controversial social media platform, Twitter users commented on Versace’s photo of Jen in their velvet gown. Comments included  “I’ve seen your beautiful suits and coats. Why don’t you respect Ms Lawrence enough to dress her appropriately for the weather?”

The pic that caused the controversy, below, also features (from left) director Francis Lawrence and actors Matthias Schoenaerts, Joel Edgerton and Jeremy Irons:

Well, “Ms Lawrence” was not impressed.

The Oscar-winning actress responded to the comments of “mistreatment” with a Facebook post:

“Wow. I don’t really know where to get started on this ‘Jennifer Lawrence wearing a revealing dress in the cold’ controversy,” she wrote. “This is not only utterly ridiculous, I am extremely offended. That Versace dress was fabulous, you think I’m going to cover that gorgeous dress up with a coat and a scarf? I was outside for five minutes. I would have stood in the snow for that dress because I love fashion and that was my choice.”

You go girl – haven’t we all braved the cold in an effort to look flawless?
