At 74, Sir Mick Jagger somehow manages to keep it rolling like a stone.
Sorry, that was an atrocious pun.
But it’s true, though: the singing legend, who is a father of eight and was “the human apogee of the sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll” during the ’60s and ’70s, as described by The Telegraph, still looks good and moves well for his age.
In fact, 56 years in the biz and the guy’s already about to front another European tour with the Rolling Stones.
How does Jagger do it? Maybe it’s in the genes: after all, his dad, a PE teacher, lived to the ripe old age of 93.
But in actual fact, his longevity comes down to clean-living and an insane fitness regime these days.
Take a look at the various way Jagger looks after himself:
Between tours, Jagger used to run several kilometres a day, and has been known to cycle, kick-box, swim, and do resistance training. He’s also got support staff on hand that includes several fitness trainers and dieticians:
Jagger himself has employed the same personal trainer, the Norwegian physiotherapist Torje Eike (pictured above), for 24 years and still sees him several times a week …
Jagger maintains his 28-inch waist with a diet consisting primarily of fresh fruit and veg, wholegrains, legumes, chicken and fish.
That’s taking it to a whole ‘nother level of healthy, Jagger. Hell, his diet’s better than mine.
Jagger even took a stab at aerial yoga back in 2016, which fuses gymnastic moves and yoga poses using a hammock that acts both as a trapeze and support. He reportedly did six sessions of aerial yoga a week.
No word on whether he still does it, but at least we got this glorious picture as proof that he did the thing. I mean, take a look at his face and try not to laugh – I DARE you.
Ballet is reportedly also one of his hobbies. His 31-year-old girlfriend, Melanie Hamrick [pictured right] is a ballerina, and Jagger was said to be inspired to do ballet himself since they hooked up.
I’m sure Hamrick has taught him plenty of interesting moves …
Back in the day, Jagger was all about the sex, drugs, booze and rock ‘n’ roll (remember that “apogee” title?). Now that he’s all grown up, the singer has kept himself clean – except for the booze which he drinks in moderation. Also, “he takes vitamins A, B complex, C, D and E, and combines with the brain-friendly trio of cod liver oil, ginseng and ginkgo biloba”.
And the secret to his, er, glowing and ever-so-healthy skin? Jagger makes use of Crème de la Mer moisturising skin cream, which ranges from R1 900 a pop and up.
So there you have it, friends. If you want the moves like Jagger, then you should consider adopting the man’s lifestyle choices.
Apart from the pricy skincare routine, maybe.
