    5. Eggs

    These little guys are packed with all sorts of health benefits: they’re rich in iron, vitamins B12, B2 and B5, and all 9 essential amino acids. Plus, the yolk of the egg contains carotenoids that protect the eyes against age-related deterioration.

    4. Tomatoes

    Tomatoes are a great source of lycopene, an antioxidant known to reduce cancer risks. A study carried out by Harvard University suggested that men who consumed at least 10 tomato-based products weekly had a reduced risk of developing prostate cancer.

    3. Fatty Fish

    Try eating fatty fish like salmon, mackeral or tuna at least twice a week. They’re all high in protein and super low in saturated fat. They’re also are rich in calcium, and loaded with heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids.

    2. Rolled Oats

    Thanks to whole oats, the risk of heart failure can be lowered. That’s because they’re rich in manganese, selenium, tryptophan, phosphorus, vitamin B1 among other nutrients.

    Mushrooms are chock-full with so much goodness, and it’s amazing how impressive these little guys are.
