There’s a reason I like to watch Newcastle games from the safety of my own home.
If all goes to form, we lose, and that means I don’t really want to deal with other humans.
When I do happen to be out and about, the final whistle usually means a few drinks are in need. If you’re tossing them in the face of a reporter who’s doing his job, though, then you’ve lost your way.
This morning kicked off with a look at the English fans before and after the match, many of whom acted with a degree of decorum, but this incident from Boxpark Croydon in south London isn’t a good look.
Credit to journalist Lloyd Burr, reporting live for The AM Show in New Zealand, who took it like a champ:
Probably a good call by The AM Show to send a man, given that World Cup fans have shown themselves to be gropers during the tournament.
