High-speed chases are always good fun to watch.
From pursuing the Crowbar Gang down Cape Town’s M3 highway to an insane car chase that looks like it could come out of GTAV, you’ve got to wonder how these chases can get any more ridiculous.
These sunbathers on a beach in Malaga, Spain, can tell you.
Per a report by Express, the person on the run wasn’t using a car to make his great escape:
Sunbathers on a packed Spanish beach watched in horror as a [Spanish National Police] helicopter chased a suspected drug smuggler and his speedboat along the shoreline.
Yup, you read that right – a speedboat.
OJ Simpson, eat your heart out.
Needless to say, most of these sunbathers were pretty terrified when the smuggler and his speedboat got too close for comfort.
Check it out:
Phew, thank goodness was no one was hurt.
Except maybe the smuggler, whose ego is probably bruised after the police managed to nab him.
If only our police could deal with cash-in-transit heists this efficiently.
