    Holy crap.

If you thought that guy in Ukraine was lucky to be alive after flying headfirst through the window of his overturning car, this security guard in Jozi has him beat.

In fact, he fits the dictionary definition of the word “miracle” after a Mercedes ploughed into him last week.

A security guard miraculously survived after a white Mercedes practically ran him down last week Sunday while he was on the job.

    Times LIVE has the details:

In the video‚ the security guard is seen sitting on a chair near a road in Morningside.

A white Mercedes Benz speeds in his direction‚ narrowly missing two other vehicles before driving into him‚ sending him smashing against a brick wall behind him.

CCTV cameras managed to capture the horrific action on video:

Goodness knows how the oke managed to get up again, let alone walk.

Adam Steyl, spokesperson for the security company Cap Group, said in a statement:

[The guard] was working to identify suspicious vehicles entering the suburb of Morningside at the time.

We can confirm that the individual concerned was injured‚ received excellent medical care‚ and has subsequently been discharged from hospital.

That’s great news, and he’s one lucky bugger.

Can’t say the same for the driver, though. Although he emerged from the vehicle uninjured and a little shaken, he’s got a whole lotta explaining to do.

The police are currently investigating the incident.
