Kylie Jenner, eat your heart out.

Sure, makeup mogul Huda Kattan isn’t going to break Mark Zuckerberg’s record as the youngest self-made billionaire like Jenner will, but there’s a crucial difference between the two ladies, apart from their ages.

Unlike Travis Scott’s baby mama, Kattan is a legit self-made billionaire. As in, she made the money roll in all by her own damn self.

She even copped herself a place on Forbes‘ recent list of “America’s Richest Self-Made Women” thanks to her $1 billion [R13 billion] beauty empire, CNN reports:

The 34-year-old businesswoman, who founded cosmetics brand Huda Beauty in 2013, ranked number 37, joining the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Sheryl Sandberg and 20-year-old Kylie Jenner …

Disillusioned with her job in finance, [Kattan] quit to become a makeup artist, and in 2010 she launched her own website with makeup tutorials, skincare routines and beauty hacks.

Three years later, Kattan’s big break came through via Instagram:

She teamed up with sisters Mona and Alya – who act as Huda Beauty’s global president and chief Instagram officer, respectively – to create a line of false eyelashes. They flew off shelves and caught the eye of Kim Kardashian herself.

But Huda feels Instagram was the turning point. “It was the catalyst that changed everything,” she says. “It changed the dynamics in which people not only communicate but are inspired as well.”

The app gave her access to people from all over the world. Her videos started to go viral and her followers multiplied. She has over 26 million on Instagram today.

That following has gained her much attention, and the CNN headline “Huda Kattan: The face that launched a billion-dollar beauty empire”.

Huda Beauty is now valued at upwards of $1 billion, according to Forbes. Power to you, girl, power to you.

Since then, Kattan has never looked back with them smokey eyes. From charging over R235 000 per sponsored Instagram post to having her face plastered all over her products, y’all can see that she’s got nothing to stress about.

I mean, with a face like this, she’s got her life together:

Damn. Her bank accounts must be looking fancy AF as well.

Well yes, they are. Her net worth is sitting pretty at $550 million (R7,4 billion).

For Kattan, however, it’s not about the money, but the difference she makes in people’s lives and all that humble jazz:

I realised that my purpose really is to inspire people. It has nothing to do with money, it has nothing to do with anything material. It’s really to prove to people that the little guy can make it.

That, and she has the balls to charge R235 000 per sponsored Instagram post.

If success (or sheer nerve) ever had a face, it’d be Kattan’s.

    Sorry ’bout it, Kylie.
