Everyone’s idea of a moderately priced two-bedroom flat is different.
In an ideal world, I wouldn’t want to pay more than R12 000 to R14 000 for something around the City Bowl area, but if you dabble in the price range just up from that you can land a pretty sweet spot.
Fork out R19 000, for example, you can get a swanky two-bedroom in Sea Point.
My only issue would be that it comes unfurnished, meaning it would look nothing like this once I was done with it.
Seriously, this place is kitted out in the pictures below, taken from the Property 24 listing. Some info first:
This unfurnished large top floor 2 Bedroom Aparment set in the heart of Sea Point has stunning sea and mountain views. Open plan lounge, dining room and renovated kitchen area. The 2 bedrooms are of genrous [sic] proportions. Enjoy your morning coffee or sundowners on the sunny balcony while taking in the views of the ocean beyond. Bathroom with shower over bath and separate toilet. Lock up single gargage and designated parking bay. A five minute walk to promenade, coffee shops, restaurants and My Citi bus.
Love me some ‘genrously’ proportioned bedrooms. Big Bedroom Energy is the new Big Dick Energy.
Anyway, we’ll look around:
An English scarf hanging from the mirror? Poor form, but as not as bad as dirty washing on the line.
Digging the mounted TV though.
Check out the lounge:
Just trying to picture that with a plastic table and chairs plonked in the middle for some perspective.
Little known fact – the agent handling the rental is none other than…
Fame really changes a person, hey.
