It’s always fun watching some of the world’s biggest brands spar on social media, and it’s even better when it ends with a serious burn.
You get the feeling that certain back and forths on Twitter are orchestrated by the brands’ respective PR companies to drum up interest, but in the matter of BMW versus Audi, that’s not the case.
It started with a tweet by BMW USA, talking up their M4 in ‘Yas Marina Blue’:
I can see it, can you? Well, Audi sure could, and they weren’t going to let this chance slip them by:

Yeah, Audi, we see your point. So did BMW, but it’s how they were seeing it that has left Audi applying cold water to the burn:
