The Apple Watch has undergone a revamp, and it looks like Series 4 packs quite a punch.
We have already told you all about the new iPhones, SA release date and pricing, but the world’s first trillion-dollar company are also bigging up their new Watch.
Focused more on health and fitness, the Watch Series 4 has a larger screen (more than 30% larger than previous Watches), as well as being thinner than previous models.
A few more details via MyBroadband before we get to that advert:
The Series 4 also includes a next-generation accelerometer and gyroscope combination, which enables a new feature on the device that allows it to detect when the wearer accidentally falls…
The device also sports three new heart monitoring features:
- Notification when heart rate is too low.
- Notification for heart rhythm irregularities.
- Added electrodes, allowing users to take an electrocardiogram (ECG).
…the Apple Watch Series 4 is the first ECG product offered over the counter directly to consumers, and can deliver ECG results in 30 seconds.
The Apple Watch Series 4 also features the same 18-hour battery life as previous-generation devices, despite the collection of new features.
In terms of pricing, Apple Watch Series 4 goes for $399 for the GPS model, and $499 for the LTE version.
The Apple Watch Series 4 GPS will be available in SA from September 28 (same days as the new iPhones), and local pricing hasn’t yet been made public.
Enough with the info, because let’s turn our attention to the Apple Watch Series 4 advert, which features some instantly recognisable landmarks.
According to Memeburn, a large part of the ad was filmed in and around the Mother City. So, how many spots do you recognise?
