At a certain age, you have to concede that WWE Wrestling (or WWF, as it was known back in the heyday of Jake the Snake) isn’t real.

That doesn’t mean you can’t appreciate the incredible athleticism of some of the wrestlers, or the fact that some continue to be body-slammed well into their fifties.

Crikey, can you imagine the painkillers they’re on?

I would imagine that Liv Morgan is going to be smashing a few painkillers, following two brutal kicks to the head by Brie Bella on Monday Night Raw.

    NewsAU reports:

The 24-year-old suffered concussion in the terrifying accident on Monday Night RAW in Denver, Colorado, US.

She was competing in her Riott Squad team against the Bella Twins and Natalya when the shocking incident happened.

Morgan was in-ring with Brie when she was ‘Yes Kicked’ twice in the head, sending her crashing to the mat following heavy blows.

    Lights out:

Despite those kicks, Liv managed to complete the next move, a “triple suplex spot”, before requiring medical treatment:

    Dedication.

…she was quickly aided by medics shortly after by the side of the squared-circle while the match continued live on air.

Morgan [below, pre kick to the head] was then rushed backstage for urgent help, where she was looked over in the trainer’s room…

It was later confirmed by the WWE Morgan had in fact suffered concussion and is now under the company’s concussion protocols.

Sounds like she will come out OK.

I wonder if we will ever see matches as brutal as those back in the day again. Wrestling fans – remember this ‘Hell in a Cell’ showdown, and that incredible throw from the roof?

    Madness.
