Mzwandile Hlongwa’s nickname is “Shakebone”, and it’s not hard to see why.
During Saturday’s EFC 75 (Extreme Fighting Championship), which took place at GrandWest in Cape Town, Hlongwa flattened Norway’s Torbjørn Madsen in the first round.
With just 1:11 on the clock, Hlongwa delivered what some have dubbed the ‘Hellbow’, and it was lights out for the Norwegian.
Boom:
I’d pay good money to see Floyd Mayweather’s next opponent do something similar when they square up on New Year’s Eve.
According to the Sportsman, Madsen, who was previously unbeaten in five fights, did make a recovery and was in decent spirits:
“I’m in the ambulance now. I’m going to a check in the hospital. Everything is fine. This can happen, it’s fun. Well done by him.”
Hlongwa’s record now stands at 3-1-1 and, if he keeps on dishing out shots like the one we saw this weekend, I expect that win ratio to increase.
