Holiday adverts have to have two things: a cute mini-story and all the feels.
The John Lewis ad with Elton John is guaranteed to get you a bit teary-eyed, and then there was that banned Christmas ad that went viral on social media – a cute animated short which will make you seriously reconsider your palm-oil usage.
Now Apple has released their holiday advert – a feel-good Pixar-inspired animated short about sharing with family and friends over the festive season.

This ad is a bit of a departure from the usual clean, techy ads that Apple usually puts out.
Also, as The Verge points out, there isn’t a whole lot of product placement apart from a MacBook covered in stickers that appears from time to time over the course of the two-and-a-half minutes.

As far as holiday ads go, this one is a winner. It’s super cute and simple.
