All The 2019 Oscar Winners

The Academy Awards managed to hand out statues to the right films this year (#Moonlight), but not without a little controversy. Here's the full list of winners.

The Oscars happened, without a host this year.

Despite this, they managed to pull it off without too many hitches, and there were no repeats of the La La Land versus Moonlight embarrassment.

Still, the film that snatched Best Picture wasn’t without controversy.

In a somewhat shocking moment, Green Book, which is about a black jazz pianist who travels with a white driver through the Jim Crow South, won the Oscar.

Here’s The Washington Post:

It was one of three trophies for the polarizing film, which also won supporting actor (Mahershala Ali) and original screenplay. While promoted as a feel-good story of unlikely friendship, the film has been criticized for how it handled racial conflict, and has been called a stereotypical “white savior” movie.

That will no doubt occupy Twitter and other social media chat threads for at least a week.

Before moving on to the full list of winners, here’s Channel24 with some pics of Trevor Noah and Charlize Theron representing on the red carpet:

Looking good.
