Stop everything – Apple made a pizza box.

Not a joke, not a drill. This is real.

And no, we don’t know why, but it’s out there now and I obviously want to know more about it.

The pizza box makes an appearance in Apple’s new ad, “Apple at Work – The Underdogs”, which is the latest in a series of high-production value, funny commercials.

I’m a fan of this advert:

According to The Verge, the pizza box was the inspiration for the ad, which romanticises its origins.

As Wired and others reported in May 2017, the pizza box is an actual thing that exists at Apple’s campuses in Silicon Valley, designed by Apple for the express purpose of allowing employees to bring a crisp personal pizza back to their desks instead of winding up with a soggy crust.

Trust Apple to take soggy crust into consideration. No one should have to deal with a soggy crust, especially at work.

As the advert also points out, getting something done right and on time at work also has a lot to do with the equipment that you’re using, which is where Apple can help you out as well.

The more modern-minded in our office are currently powered by the new iMac, packed with the latest processors, faster memory and out-of-this-world graphics – all of which comes together on the most vibrant display ever on a Mac.

I don’t know what a nit is, but there are 500 of them:

I looked up nits. One nit is equal to one candela (one candlepower) per square meter (1cd/m2), and the sun at noon is rated at 1.6 billion nits.

Now you know. Back to what’s powering the new iMac:

It’s basically the round pizza box of personal computers.

    No soggy work.

If you want to up your personal game, or take your company workspace to the next level, look no further than Digicape, South Africa’s largest independent Apple retailer.

They’ve got everything you need to get those creative juices flowing.
