Just like JK Rowling, Game of Thrones writer George R.R. Martin is expanding his horizons into all kinds of media – and cashing in while he’s at it.

His current net worth is around $65 million, so he’s clearly doing alright.

His newest project is Elden Ring, a video game developed with studio FromSoftware.

FromSoftware is the same studio that brought you Dark Souls,  Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, so it should be good.

A teaser trailer for the game played during Microsoft’s E3 press conference. The trailer teased some beautiful cinematic work, but there wasn’t much gameplay to note.

Rumors about the game leaked last week, making fantasy genre-loving fans very happy.

Let’s get a feel for this thing:

We will have to ask the hardcore gamers what they think, and there aren’t many of those in the office.

Elden Ring will be available to play on Xbox One and PC.
