  • PROPERTY: This Is What R180k A Month Gets You In Cape Town

If you like hunting and have R180 000 to spend on rent every month, then this might just be the property for you.

The house (Mansion? Micro mansion? It’s hard to keep up with what we’re calling things now) is located in Constantia and boasts expansive spaces and areas that can accommodate plenty of people if you’re in the mood for a party.

Described by Seeff as “an extraordinary nature lover’s paradise”, this seven bedroom house apparently “embodies the best of Africa”.

They aren’t kidding – the bodies of half of Africa’s wildlife have been used to decorate the place.

    Starting with this taxidermied lion:

Lovely. Note the zebra ottoman in the background. Let’s move on to the kitchen.

The magnificent kitchen is a place for family gatherings and enjoys flexible, interchangeable entertainment areas which can accommodate large parties of guests.

Spot the springbok in the passage:

The accommodation is sumptuous and the bedrooms are luxurious (en suite) with fabulous outlooks. Extra accommodation for guests with separate guest suite and self contained cottage. This private and exclusive home is in a class of its own.

    More zebra:

    Ah, we found its head:

The leopard skin behind the pool table is a nice touch.

Some of the special features of the house include stables, a tennis court, a swimming pool, a small vineyard and most importantly, privacy.

There are no other buildings in sight.

There are also staff quarters and what they describe as “2 Gardeners’ toilets”.

Let’s get back to spotting the animal print.

All of the bedrooms are en-suite and this one compliments that classy zebra print pillow with an even classier stock print of Marilyn Monroe.

Why yes, that is a zebra-print bathtub:

When decorating the bathroom using springbok, make sure to use all of the springbok. The horns and pelt really balance each other out.

Not my vibe, but you do you.
