The Ndlovu Youth choir blew the audience away again in the quarter-finals this week.

Since their first audition launched them into the spotlight, they’ve received standing ovations and glowing praise from the judges.

They shone again with their version of the 2010 FIFA World Cup anthem, Waka Waka (This Time for Africa).

They’re now into the final rounds – the quarter-finals, more specifically – and the stakes are far higher.

According to Channel24, they now have to impress the general American public as well as the judges.

To stay in the competition and move to the semi-finals, the choir will need enough votes from the public. Unfortunately, South Africans can’t vote, but we can keep our fingers crossed.

The results will be announced on Thursday night.

The song they chose for this leg of the competition was U2’s Beautiful Day, but with an African spin.

    Take it away:

Yeah, I don’t think they’ll have any trouble making it through to the next round.

Fingers crossed that the American public shows some sense when voting this time around…
