Thursday’s back, back again.
One for the Eminem fans, there.
Anyway, here we are again, casting our minds back to viral videos from days of old.
Today’s throwback isn’t actually all that dated, with the video going viral towards the end of May this year.
With deepfakes having been in the news a fair deal of late (this Bill Hader / Tom Cruise / Seth Rogen effort is a classic), we’re going in.
Rather appropriately, here’s Oprah Mag:
An Internet hero replaced Gayle and Oprah’s faces with Snoop Dogg and Mike Tyson’s in a throwback clip from the The Oprah Winfrey Show—and we’re laughing our slacks off.
The original video—which is definitely worth a revisit—features Oprah and Gayle reading old love letters from their high school beaus. The two are in stitches reciting what Oprah calls “corny” passages…
Decades after the original clip aired, an editing wiz who goes by @drfakenstein on Instagram got a hold of the vintage gem and transposed Mike Tyson and Snoop Dogg’s faces onto Gayle and Oprah’s bodies.
Snoop himself actually shared the video on his Instagram account, saying “W. T. F. @miketyson who did this shit to us”.
Enjoy:
When Oprah was contacted for comment, she said “Can’t decide is this funny? or is this scary?”
Sounds about right.
Happy Thursday to all.
