Thanks to Justin Trudeau, ‘blackface’ (and also ‘brownface’) has been back in the news of late.

Not that there aren’t a constant stream of people indulging in the practice, but the Canadian prime minister is a pretty big name.

Naturally, the backlash for Trudeau has been hefty, and he hasn’t been helped by the fact that he admits he has no idea if there are more than the three photos from separate incidents already doing the rounds.

What’s an appropriate punishment for somebody, then, who errs on this front? According to Trevor Noah, it’s pretty simple:

Marrying a Kardashian? Harsh.

Noah’s latest segment from The Daily Show deals with the impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump, and Ukraine’s investigation into the conduct of Joe and Hunter Biden.

…Noah said if Trump did indeed ask the president of Ukraine to dig up dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden and current Democratic presidential contender —  it’s bad, very bad.

“It’s an abuse of power. It’s extortion, and maybe worst of all, it’s asking a foreign country to meddle in America’s election,” the Comedy Central star noted.

“It’s the one thing that if you were Donald Trump, you should stay away from, because they’ve just beaten the Russia [collusion] case. It would be like, if the day after Michael Jackson got acquitted of touching kids, he was like ‘let’s celebrate. Slumber party at my house,’” Noah said in his best imitation of the late King of Pop.

The tweetstorm this week is definitely going to reach Category Five levels.
