  • It’s All Happening At The V&A Waterfront This Saturday

If you’re somehow late to the party, Cape Town gin lovers, I have your weekend plans sorted.

This coming Saturday, the Fitch & Leedes Gin & Tonic Festival is coming to Cape Town.

The festival happened earlier this year in Pretoria, and it was a hit, so we’re happy to welcome it to the Mother City.

Kicking off at midday (12PM) on Saturday, September 28, and lasting until 8PM, this time around it’s taking place at The Lookout at the V&A Waterfront – the perfect setting for a Saturday sundowner.

It looks like the weather this weekend is really going to play ball, so that sea breeze will pair perfectly with an ice-cold G&T.

    Here’s the plan…

First things first – head on over to Webtickets to secure your place at the event:

    • General Admission – R180
    • Last Minute Ticket – R200 (tickets purchased on the day will not receive a festival Gin glass)

When you get to the festival on Saturday, grab your Festival Gin glass upon arrival (if you bought a General Admission ticket) and head to the cash loading station to load money onto a Howler card (the event is completely cashless and hassle-free).

Once you have your Howler card sorted, take a stroll through the various Gin Bars where you can choose to purchase your gins as either tasters, singles, or double perfect serve G&Ts.

To really get into the spirit of things make sure you taste all three of the gins in the Cape Town Gin Company range.

They have introduced uniquely Cape flavours like rooibos and rosewater to bring you the Rooibos Red Gin, and the ever-popular Pink Lady.

Each gin is perfectly paired with nothing but the freshest and finest garnishes to compliment each individual gin’s botanicals.

If you like it classic, the Cape Town Classic Gin is a well-made, carefully balanced spirit with rich botanicals dominated by juniper, citrus notes and a hint of herbs and wildflowers.

Some sage advice for when you’re sipping a little gin at home – there’s nothing better than a slice of ginger, a leaf or two of basil, and a slice of orange in a Rooibos Red Gin and tonic.

Those details one more time – September 28, 12PM, The Lookout, V&A Waterfront.

Got it? Good. Catch you there.
