The headline is rather obvious, as prison uniforms are pretty standard for people in prison.

As for why Felicity Huffman has traded in her designer threads for a prison uniform – that’s where things get interesting.

Dozens of people, including Full House actress Lori Loughlin and Desperate Housewives star Huffman, were charged with paying bribes to secure prestigious school spots for their kids.

Because if you have the cash, there’s no need for your children to work hard or achieve anything for themselves.

In the end, however, no amount of money was going to help Huffman escape the law, which is why at the close of the court proceedings, she was found guilty and sentenced to 14 days in a Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California.

Huffman pleaded guilty to mail fraud and honest services fraud in May for paying college admissions fixer William Rick Singer $15,000 to have wrong answers corrected on her daughter’s SAT exam, an action which inflated Sophia Grace’s score 400 points above her PSAT score. The 19-year-old also received extra time to complete the exam.

An FBI probe dubbed “Operation Varsity Blues” revealed 50 people were involved in the massive bribery scandal, which targeted elite universities such as Yale, Stanford, Georgetown and the University of Southern California.

Huffman also has to pay a $30 000 fine and do 250 hours of community service as part of her sentence.

Huffman is set to be released from prison on Oct. 27, according to the prison’s records, although that release date would correspond to a 13-day sentence.

An employee of the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin could not confirm to NBC News if Huffman’s sentence had been shortened.

It’s hardly a sentence, to begin with. Two weeks in one of the most chilled prisons in the US isn’t going to scar her for life.

Her reputation, however, probably won’t recover any time soon.
