Have you ever left your New Year’s Eve plans until the last minute, only to find yourself in a local dive bar, six-deep at the bar trying to grab a drink?
There’s always that one guy who also didn’t plan properly, but has smashed five tequilas by 9PM and drunkenly decided to make sure that everyone has a good time whether they want to or not.
That guy has the potential to ruin your night. Watch out for him.
This year will be different, though, because you’re going to bring in the new year in style, making history at a not-to-be-missed party that’s uniting two of South Africa’s top acts for the first time.
Get Lucky Summer has just announced the double billing that fans of South African music will love, and the best news is that it is happening TWICE in one night.
This New Year’s Eve, both Plett and Knysna will be hosting South Africa’s two live-electronic heavyweights, GoodLuck and Goldfish, in back-to-back performances in both towns on the same night.
The region’s festival favourite, Get Lucky Summer, will be hosting two special ‘NYE’ editions on the Bitou Rugby Club fields in Robberg Beach in Plett, and the Knysna High School Sports Fields in Knysna.
Both events will take place on the night of December 31, 2019, and both events will feature GoodLuck alongside electronic duo Goldfish.
We’re talking fully stocked bars, a selection of food trucks, VIP areas, a kid’s bar and the best in live music. If you were looking for an unforgettable way to spend the holidays with family, friends and good times, you just found it.
Two bands, two gigs, twice the party.
The promo trailer is all the proof you’ll need that this is happening, and also that you need to be there:
