The British are voting in their general election today. It’s the third one in five years because the country can’t seem to get it together.
Depending on how everyone feels, we could have a few more years of Boris Johnson trying to use a mop, while failing to deliver on Brexit, or Jeremy Corbyn could take over.
We live in hope for the latter, but as I write this, the Tories look to be in the lead.
In the build-up to the elections, both Johnson and Corbyn were hard at work on the campaign trail. Corbyn took a standard approach to campaigning, visiting various parts of the UK and speaking to the people who live there.
Boris Johnson, on the other hand, reenacted scenes from Love Actually:
Stop it.
Meanwhile, Hugh Grant has been very active in British politics over the last while, and he’s clearly voting for Jeremy Corbyn.
He also acted as the British PM in Love Actually, so he wasn’t going to let Johnson’s advert slide.
According to Mashable, Grant was quick to point out that one of the cards was missing from Johnson’s pack:
“One of the cards… Boris Johnson didn’t hold up was the one saying “Because at Christmas you tell the truth”

A classic British burn. Very little emotion, but a swift delivery.
We’ll be watching the polls.
