You know you’re in Cape Town when you use the mountain to orienteer yourself.

You know you’re in Cape Town when you’ve been telling the same friend you’re going to meet for a drink for the best part of two years, even though neither of you will actually ever follow up.

Also, you know you’re in Cape Town when you look up at the sky and there’s a plane with a Mavericks banner in tow.

    Like that picture up top.

Perhaps it’s because the Poms are in town (and gobbling up all of our cricket tickets), but over the past few days, there have now been two planes flying banners over the city.

This picture was taken by our very own Seth, who, as you can see from his Instagram post, also took to the skies yesterday:

We can confirm that Seth was not flying a Mavericks banner. He’s a family man, thank you very much.

This isn’t the first time that two planes have been spotted in tandem. Sky Messaging, the company responsible for flying the banners, was pretty chuffed with themselves a few months back:

Nothing like being stuck in bumper to bumper traffic to drive engagement.

The company offers a number of different packages, which you can see below:

Sadly, the prices aren’t listed, but you can bet it sets Mavericks back many, many lapdances.

I’ve always wondered how they can justify the cost of flying a banner all day above the city, but it must be working if they’re now paying for two planes.

    As you were, Cape Town.
