The latest round of Nancy Pelosi’s showdown with Donald Trump occurred yesterday when she finally delivered the impeachment articles to the Senate.

Also known as the place where the impeachment articles will go to die, because Republicans have made it clear that they have zero interest in taking on board any of the evidence presented thus far.

That evidence just keeps on coming, the latest of which centres around Rudy Giuliani associate Lev Parnas, who looks to have turned on Trump.

The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah is pretty excited about what that new evidence shows, and he touched on what this means for the impeachment process in his show last night:

Ultimately, Senate impeachment proceedings are set to go exactly as you would imagine, unless a number of Republicans flip and vote along Democratic lines.

Having stuck with the Trump cult this long, the chances of that happening seem slimmer than zero.
