People acting the fool during Super Bowl celebrations is an age-old American tradition, although this driver definitely took things a little further than we usually see.
A driver in Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested on Wednesday morning after speeding down the route that the Chiefs’ victory parade was due to take later in the day.
The streets had been closed off ahead of the team’s open-top bus ride, so there was plenty of open road for the action to play out on.
At one stage, the driver appeared to be surrounded, but he proved tricky to take down.
Eventually, officers were forced to use a PIT manoeuvre, which involves hitting the back end of a car to send it into a tailspin, to bring him to a halt.
Here’s an aerial shot of the chase:

CBS Sports reports:
According to police in Kansas City, two suspects have been taken into custody, although official charges haven’t yet been announced.
In a statement, KC Police said the driver is being investigated for possible impairment. Police did note that there were no weapons found in the car and that there were no indications of terrorist activity.
So just an idiot driving at high-speed along a route where tens of thousands of people line the sidewalks – got it.
When the Chiefs team did eventually hit the streets, good times were had.
