  • Ja, So Prince Harry Might Be Singing On A Track With Jon Bon Jovi

Bon Jovi’s These Days was the first album I ever bought (on cassette tape) back in 1995, so they’ll always hold a special place in my heart.

The Jon Bon Jovi of These Days was angsty and clearly going through something. I thought they were very edgy when I was eight.

These (actual) days, he’s a lot more mellow.

So mellow, in fact, that he’s probably going to be singing a song with Prince Harry.

According to The Daily Mail, Harry and Meghan posted a fake text exchange video on @SussexRoyal hinting at the collaboration:

Not everyone was impressed. As one person wrote in the comments, “this is weird”. Others posted multiple heart emojis, so it balances out.

The song that they might be singing together (or will probably sing together, depending on your level of optimism), is called ‘Unbroken’ and was written by Bon Jovi to shine a spotlight on veterans living with post-traumatic stress disorder:

Jon has been a big supporter of the military for a long time as both his parents served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

The original version of Unbroken will feature on the forthcoming album Bon Jovi 2020. The charity version of the single, featuring the Invictus Games Choir, will be released in March, in support of the Invictus Games Foundation.

The Invictus Games Choir, which is managed and delivered by Help for Heroes, is made up of wounded, injured and sick veterans and serving personnel from all branches and different ranks of the UK Armed Forces who come together and use the power of music to aid their recovery.

The Bon Jovi version of the song is already on YouTube. It’s very on the nose:

The Invictus Games, as you may recall, is one of Harry’s patronages. Someone touched his bottom at the launch last year.

This outing with Bon Jovi will be one of Harry’s last official duties before #Megxit.

Not a bad way to go out.
