It’s amazing the lengths Prince Andrew will go to get someone to date him. No wonder he eventually caved in and started hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein.

Less than a year before his alleged trysts with Virginia Giuffre, Prince Andrew was trying his best with supermodel, Caprice. You know, Rod Stewart and Kevin Pietersen’s ex.

Yes, she dated Pietersen during ‘the worst year of her life’.

They (Caprice and Prince Andrew) went on a few ‘platonic’ dates (according to her) and he even broke royal protocol by letting her sit in mummy’s throne.

Oh, and he let her steal some crockery for her mother. Per NewsAU:

In an extraordinary suspension of protocol, Prince Andrew wined and dined the American model at the Palace — and allegedly even let her “steal” a decorative bowl

“She did think it a bit strange that he wanted to hang out as, from her side, there was no chance of a snog — she didn’t fancy him.

“But as an American, she was thoroughly entertained at the notion he was a part of the Royal Family. Plus all the secretive ­rendezvous, although unnecessary, were a great family dinner conversation point.”

The source continued, “He took her to Buckingham Palace twice, and on one occasion she sat on the Queen’s throne.

“She spotted a bowl she liked and asked Andrew if she could steal it and post it to her mum. She claims that he let her, and her mum loved it!”

Of course, her mum loved it!

But the fun and games eventually ended when news got out that Caprice might be dating Andrew. Imagine the embarrassment?

Caprice 48, “dumped” Andrew when rumours of their friendship began to surface — but not before she had set him up with her ­masseuse, Denise Martell.

The friend said: “Caprice ghosted Andrew; she stopped returning his calls.

“He’d been nothing but a gentleman, but quite simply she didn’t fancy him and ran for the hills when a newspaper article came out linking them — he wasn’t her type and she found him quite dry.

Prince Harry must have enjoyed that.

During their friendship, Andrew also told Caprice that Prince Harry, then 16, was jealous as he “liked” her.

“Apparently Harry had Caprice’s calendar on his bedroom wall at [school], and Harry was grilling Andrew over Christmas pudding at Sandringham about his crush.”

Well, that’s all in the past. Caprice is now a Dancing on Ice star (or was, as she’s banned now), and Prince Andrew has just turned 60 and still doing nothing.
