To reference, badly, the film Fight Club, the first rule of lockdown is that we talk about lockdown.
Actually, the first rule of lockdown is “stay inside”, but we have spoken about it at length – so at this point, there shouldn’t be any confusion.
The second rule of lockdown is no large gatherings, which would, in any case, be a violation of the first rule.
Seems simple, right?
Apparently not. People don’t seem to want to get with the program, and for one couple, a global pandemic wasn’t going to get in the way of their special day.
Per News24:
According to SAPS national spokesperson Brigadier Vish Naidoo, about 50 people, including the pastor and bridal couple, were arrested in Hlabisa during the [Wedding] ceremony.
“They are likely to be charged with the contravention of the regulations of the Disaster Management Act 2002,” Naidoo said.
In a video of the incident, a bride in a white wedding gown is seen being escorted to a police vehicle by a man in a suit – seemingly her husband-to-be – while their guests look on in shock.
That video, here:

And some pics of the worst wedding, ever, from @Ndiks17 on Twitter:
The bride arrives.
Then these guys arrive.
Wedding over.
The bride, groom and their guests were taken to the police station, where they were processed.
Please, just stay inside.
