There’s a reason that divorce rates have increased in China, the first country to experience a lockdown.
Perhaps you’re only now realising that your partner’s chewing is a little loud for your liking, or that they’re incapable of washing their own dishes.
Chances are something you’re doing is annoying them, too – such is marriage, I’m told.
Over in Australia, triathlete Mirinda Carfrae has a rather unique reason for being angry at her husband, fellow triathlete Tim O’Donnell.
SB Nation reports that Carfrae was competing this past weekend in the first Ironman Pro VR Challenge, where the sport’s top athletes competed against each other on smart bikes.
She was in second place during the cycling stage when Tim entered the room and buggered things up.
We can cut him some slack, though, because the poor guy was actually carrying Miranda’s trophies in an attempt to inspire her.
Here’s how it all played out:
Oh, Tim, of all the things you could have done:
…when your significant other is racing in an online triathlon, you pretty much have one job for the length of the race: Don’t disconnect the power. That’s it. Everything else is a distant second to your primary job of not kicking the power out of the wall. That should go without saying, but in this case it warrants a reminder.
Carfrae noted on Instagram that O’Donnell is racing next weekend in a similar online event, but she vows not to take revenge.
That’s some serious willpower.
People are doing virtual triathlons out there, and I’m just trying my best not to eat everything in the snack cupboard in one sitting.
