It seems like so long ago that Tiger King burst onto the scene and became a worldwide sensation.

I guess that’s one of the side effects of more than two months under a national lockdown.

The show’s popularity provided a huge boost to Netflix and its subscriber numbers, and saw Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin become household names.

Whilst Joe languishes in prison, Baskin remains free, despite those rumours about her former husband’s demise, and she has been now been handed another massive win in her battle against Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage.

That’s Joe’s real name, in case you’re confused.

Over to CNN reporting on Baskin being awarded the zoo once owned by her nemesis:

An Oklahoma judge ruled in favor of Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue Corporation Monday in its lawsuit against the Greater Wynnewood Development Group, LLC, (GWDC). The latter company once was owned by Exotic…

The order gives Baskin control of about 16 acres of land in Garvin County, Oklahoma, that is home to an animal park with an array of big cats.

GWDC must “vacate the Zoo Land premises within 120 days of service of this Order…Vacation of premises shall also require removal of all zoo animals from the Zoo Land,” the court order said.

The judge ruled that the property was fraudulently transferred to Maldonado-Passage’s mother years ago.

As laid out in the Tiger King series, Joe Exotic no longer owns the park, with Jeff Lowe taking over under acrimonious circumstances.

A legal representative for Lowe said they anticipated the court’s ruling, and that they were focused on opening the new Tiger King Park in Thackerville, which is also in Oklahoma, aiming to have that done within the next four months.

Even though Joe no longer owns the park, you just know that Baskin taking over would really piss him off.

Baskin has yet to comment on the victory, but you get the feeling she has a smug smile on her face.
