  • South Africans Are Doing Doughnuts In Front Of Police Now [Videos]

For a long while, every time I saw a SAPS vehicle, my heart rate would increase ever so slightly.

As one gets older and wiser, and less likely to break the law, that is no longer the case. I guess the decriminalising of cannabis for personal and private use also helped on that front.

Still, I’m not sure I will ever be so relaxed in front of the cops that I bust out a few doughnuts around a SAPS vehicle, which is what happened recently in Limpopo.

    This from TimesLIVE:

The incidents, believed to have happened in Malamulele, caused an uproar on social media, with one video going viral on Twitter.

In the first video, a white NP200 Nissan bakkie, with passengers, is seen spinning in front of shocked police and other drivers. The white bakkie run rings around the stranded police vehicle, pulling off doughnuts and other intimidating manoeuvres as the rest of the traffic in Malamulele looks on in disbelief.

Not that the man who climbs out of the SAPS vehicle looks all that bothered:

Where is the law and order? Look at this!!! Right in front of the @SAPoliceService – This happened in Limpopo apparently. @TrafficRTMC @TransportLimCom @Abramjee @MbalulaFikile pic.twitter.com/mvR2kuE58d

Good luck tagging Fikile Mbalula, our Minister of Transport, in that one. According to his own staff, he’s too busy trying to go viral on Twitter to do his actual job.

A second video also appeared, showing a white BMW stopping traffic to pull off some moves:

When shown the footage, Brig Motlafela Mojapelo said the police were hoping that anybody with information regarding the drivers of the vehicles would come forward.

Protest farm murders and gender-based violence and face arrests and attacks from the police, but throw out some doughnuts and they’ll wait to see if anybody comes forward.
