In the words of Rick James, ‘cocaine is a helluva drug’.
Whilst a regular cocaine user may fly somewhat under the radar, a heroin addict can be easier to spot, especially one as far down the rabbit hole as Mila Kunis’ character.
That’s her above, looking almost unrecognisable from the woman who was named Esquire’s Sexiest Woman Alive in 2012.
In Four Good Days, Kunis stars alongside eight-time Oscar nominee Glenn Close.
Unfortunately for Close, she has won zero Oscars, which seems like pretty rotten luck.

Based on a true story by Pulitzer Prize-winning Washington Post writer Eli Saslow, the film stars Kunis as Molly, a 31-year-old woman who begs her estranged mother Deb (Close) for help in fighting a fierce battle against the demons that have derailed her life.
Despite all she has learned over a decade of disappointment, grief and rage, Deb throws herself into one last attempt to save her beloved daughter from the deadly and merciless grip of heroin addiction.
Now reunited, they work to regain the love and trust that once held them together.
The film debuted at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, with many reviews singling out the powerful performances by the mother-daughter duo.
Here’s the trailer:
I’d say that soundtrack is a little cheesy, but you know what you’re getting yourself into with this film.
Four Good Days will be released in US cinemas on March 30, and on video on demand services from May 21.
You could wait until then, or you could just read the superb Washington Post article which inspired it all.
