Tomorrow, May 22, is Bitcoin Pizza Day.
On that day in 2010, a certain Laszlo Hanyecz made the first-ever Bitcoin consumer purchase, paying 10 000 Bitcoin for two pizzas.
At the time, that was worth around $40, but would be worth somewhere around $400 million today.
I hope they were very tasty pizzas.
To celebrate the big day, Butler’s Pizza is teaming up with an interesting crypto art NFT project called rarepizzas.com, to take part in the world’s biggest pizza party.
This is great news for you, for one simple reason – FREE PIZZA.
Here’s how you can do just that:
Better get emailing if you want to be among the first 110 customers scoring two free pizzas each.
If you miss out, at least you’re getting R20 off every pizza ordered, using #bitcoinpizzaday when ordering.
Certainly beats shelling out around $400 million for a meal, right?
