It’s been 11 years since we saw Johnny Knoxville and his buddies perform risky hijinks for laughs in 2010’s Jackass 3D, but the crew, mostly old but some new, are back at it again.
Paramount Pictures unveiled the first trailer for the fourth and final instalment of Jackass, titled Jackass Forever, because while the stunts are painful, the friendships last forever.
As AV Club puts it, now is the time to “feel nostalgic and numb our brains by watching grown men act like feral eight-year-olds more than ever”.
The trailer does all the heartstring-tugging it can for a movie about wildly absurd, and often dangerous, displays of comedy by asking “when was the last time you got together with old friends to laugh your asses off?”
There’s a cannon shooting a winged Knoxville out into the sky and, well, there are just a lot of men being flung all over the place, as per usual.
While many of the original Jackass cast is intact (bar a missing tooth and a concussion), including Chris Pontius, Steve-O, Wee Man, Ehren McGhehey, Dave England, and Preston Lacy, there are also new faces.
This includes Jasper Dolphin, Eric Manaka, Zach Holmes, and Sean “Poopies” McInerney.
The other famous faces taking part in the madness are Machine Gun Kelly, Eric André, and Tyler, the Creator.
Not seen in the trailer but expected to be in the film are Post Malone and Tony Hawk.
Pontius jokingly suggested that the crew somehow matured over the years, but naturally, nobody actually did.
Anyway, time for the real teaser:
The movie will be out in theatres everywhere from October 22.
