Peter Rosalita is proving that one’s size has nothing to do with the power of one’s voice.
In Tuesday’s episode of America’s Got Talent, the 10-year-old Filipino singer gave viewers and judges absolute chills with his rendition of Whitney Houston’s ‘I Have Nothing’, hitting all the notes with perfection.
Some might recognise him from the audition phase, where he crushed his performance of ‘All By Myself’, earning strong praise from all the judges, especially the hard-to-please Simon Cowell.
Now in the live quarterfinals, Rosalita shrugged off the pressure and unleashed his vocal powers, confirming judge Howie Mandel’s prediction back in early June that he would go far in the competition, reports HuffPost.
As one of the fans’ favourites, Rosalita is still on track to walk away with the win, and possibly that $1 million grand prize, which he says will let him buy a laptop and Nintendo Switch.
The first big note is smashed right out of the park at around the 45-second mark:
Rosalita may be small, but he is made for the big stage.
